Competition in the global electric vehicle market continues to intensify. Within the urban commuting and compact car segment, the Leapmotor T03 from China now attracts a growing number of international consumers due to its balanced performance and affordable price.
This nimble, five-door, four-seat pure electric vehicle has quietly arrived on streets in over 20 countries worldwide. Its journey spans from the ancient cobblestone roads of Europe to the tropical neighborhoods of Southeast Asia.
01 Global Positioning of the Model
The 2025 Leapmotor T03 is an A00-class pure electric mini car. It features a five-door, four-seat hatchback layout. The car measures 3620 mm in length, 1652 mm in width, and 1592 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2400 mm.
This clever design maximizes interior space despite the compact length, achieving an impressive space utilization rate of 66.3%.
Furthermore, this model has successfully entered multiple global markets. For example, beyond its domestic sales in China, you can spot the T03 on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, at fast-charging stations in Berlin, and in neighborhood parking lots across London.
In the Southeast Asian market, the T03 has consistently ranked in the top tier of Thailand’s A0-level EV sales for three consecutive quarters. Together, these achievements clearly demonstrate the model’s strong global adaptability.
02 Battery Technology and Range Performance
The 2025 Leapmotor T03 offers two battery configurations for different driving ranges. The base version carries a 29.9 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery, which provides a CLTC range of 310 km.
Meanwhile, the high-end version features a larger 38.5 kWh or 41.3 kWh LFP battery, enabling a CLTC range of up to 403 km.
Battery safety stands out as a key highlight for the T03. Engineers subjected its battery pack to over 25 stringent safety tests. These tests included vibration, impact drop, collision squeeze, damp heat cycle, and fire resistance.

Notably, the battery passed a 5-meter drop test, far exceeding the Chinese national standard of just 1 meter. Additionally, its IP67 rating for dust and water resistance provides reliable safety assurance.
For real-world performance, the 403 km range version achieves about 350 km in summer urban conditions with the air conditioning on (24°C auto mode). In contrast, during winter at -5°C with the heater on, the range remains around 280 km.
03 Charging Efficiency and Energy Replenishment Solutions
Charging convenience remains crucial for electric vehicle practicality. Accordingly, the Leapmotor T03 supports fast-charging technology. Using a fast-charging station, the battery charges from 30% to 80% in just 36 minutes.
This speed means a short break during a long trip can provide enough range to continue the journey.
For daily home charging, the T03 provides two options. With a 6.6 kW standard charger, charging from 30% to 80% takes about 3.5 hours. Alternatively, using the included 3.3 kW portable charger with a standard 220V household socket replenishes roughly 300 km of range in about 10 hours.
Moreover, owners can use a mobile app to remotely pre-heat the battery. This feature effectively reduces range loss caused by low winter temperatures.
04 Performance Parameters and Driving Experience
Regarding the powertrain, the 2025 Leapmotor T03 provides two power options. The 310 km range version uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor with 55 kW (about 75 hp) of maximum power and 114 N·m of torque.
However, the 403 km range version upgrades to an 80 kW (about 109 hp) motor, increasing the maximum torque to 158 N·m.
In terms of acceleration, the 310 km version goes from 0 to 50 km/h in 5 seconds. The 403 km version, however, achieves this in only 4.1 seconds, offering ample capability for agile overtaking in city traffic.
To suit different driving scenarios, the vehicle offers three modes: Eco, Standard, and Sport.
As for the chassis, the T03 uses a front MacPherson independent suspension and a rear torsion beam setup. Engineers specially tuned this system to filter out road bumps while ensuring sufficient lateral support in corners. Consequently, it achieves a strong balance between comfort and handling.
05 Global Market Pricing and Configuration Differences
The configuration and pricing of the Leapmotor T03 vary across different markets. Below is a comparison for major regions:
| Market Region | Reference Price | Corresponding Version | Key Specifications |
| China Market | ~$7,000 – $9,800 | 310 Comfort / 403 Comfort | CLTC Range 310km/403km, Power 55kW/80kW |
| UK Market | ~$18,400 | Standard Edition | WLTP Range 165 miles, includes multiple advanced driver-assistance features |
| Hong Kong Market | ~$8,600 | 265km Luxury Edition | WLTC Range 265km, Motor Power 70kW |
| Thailand Market | ~$8,600 | 403km Front-Wheel Drive Edition | CLTC Range 403km, Motor Power 80kW |
It is noteworthy that the Leapmotor T03 is also gradually becoming a car for sale in Cambodia and other emerging EV markets. Given the rapid development of the Southeast Asian electric vehicle market, Cambodian consumers can soon expect to find this cost-effective, Chinese-made electric car available locally.
06 Intelligence and Safety Features
Inside the 2025 Leapmotor T03, you will find the Leapmotor OS intelligent vehicle system. It features an 8-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch floating central control screen.
This system supports dual-screen interaction and includes built-in 4G connectivity. Therefore, it enables functions like online navigation and Himalaya FM.

For voice control, Leapmotor cooperated with iFLYTEK to develop version 3.0. This system supports continuous dialogue, dialect recognition, and understanding of ambiguous commands. As a result, users can control navigation, music, and air conditioning via voice, which reduces manual operations and enhances safety.
Regarding safety, the T03 body uses a high-rigidity cage structure. High-strength steel makes up 68% of it. Specifically, key areas like the B-pillar and door anti-collision beams use hot-formed steel with a strength exceeding 1200 MPa. The vehicle also includes active safety features such as ABS, TCS, and ESP.
For driving assistance, the T03 possesses L2-level capabilities. Its hardware suite includes “3 cameras + 1 millimeter-wave radar + 11 ultrasonic radars,” allowing it to perform up to 10 automatic driving assistance functions.
